Excerpt:
Sweat trickled down her back as the afternoon sun beat down on them. She squirmed, trying to get comfortable, then reached up to lift her long hair from the back of her neck.
“It’s going to get even hotter out. You might want to take your shirt off.”
Her head snapped around and, much to her dismay, the tips of her breasts tingled at the thought. “There is no way in hell I would even think about taking my clothes off around you.”
His grin widened. “I’ll close my eyes.”
She rolled her eyes, trying to appear unaffected by his words, when in reality she was very affected. “In your dreams.”
“You have no idea.”
His words made her stomach flutter wildly. And the sight of his muscular arms, bunching and flexing with every stroke of the oars didn’t help ease her stirring desire.
“I don’t know what you’re so worried about,” he added. “We’re on a deserted island. Hell, I’ll be the only one who’ll see you naked and you can bet I won’t be complaining.”
She was sure he wouldn’t. What irritated her was how tempted she was to undress in front of him just to see how he’d react.
Without another word, Aidan jumped out of the raft and waded through the waist-deep water, pulling it behind him onto the sugary white beach. She did her best to fight the sexual pull between them, but there was no denying the spark of desire she’d seen in his eyes before he left the raft.
